Among the school in Akuressa zone Mr/ Horagoda M.V received the first place of the competition selecting the best school computer center in the Akuressa zone in 2008

From the competition which asses the teacher's skills in southern province which hold in this year Mrs. Sandya Jagoda of Horagoda Navodya received the thired place in the primary section.
